You made it to the promised land – Summer Break. As one of my favorite summertime songs says, summer is a “time to sit back and unwind.”
This time of the year can be pretty frenetic in school districts. There are so many great stories and events to cover, making it one of my favorite, but most tiring times of the year for school communicators.
Everyone is different, but it is important for school communicators to recharge by doing something that they love: reading a good book, going for a run, or in my case: taking a long nap.
As school communicators, representing schools and school districts across the state, we have a special opportunity to be able to support others in public education through our knowledge, expertise and access. We are all here to serve the children of Colorado’s public schools. Perhaps the most powerful part of what we do is collaboration
